Andal covers his Avathara Mahima, Guna, Compassion and Soundaryam of Srimana Narayana in Thiruppavai 30 Pasurams

Thiruppavai is one of the greatest composition of Sri Andal soaked with Bakthi on lord Ranganatha whom Andal visualizes as none other than Lord Krishna ( vada Madurai Kannan).  Bhagavath Sri Ramanuaja was fully immersed in it and is also Known as Thiruppavai Jeer. Through Thiruppavai is Andal sings the glory of Sriman Narayana in 30 Pasurams. She covers his Avathara Mahima, His Guna, His Compassion, His soundaryam etc. An attempt to extract these aspects from Thiruppavai along with Vazhi namams of Sri Andal and shared in Ashtotra form(108 lines).

Thiruvallikeni Parthasarathi kovil Darisanam

I landed in chennai on 26th October. 2013, traveling from Chicago. I was happy, being Saturday, that I had the opportunity to visit the famous and one amongst 108 divya desams, Sri parthasarathy kovil, also known as Brindaranya Kshetram. The beauty and majestic appearance of the Lord Venkatakrishnan and Utsavar Partha Sarthi are indeed a delight and treat to the eyes and takes one, to the days of Mahabharata war when Lord Krishna performed Geethopadesam to Arjuna.  Lord Krishna (Parthasarathy) reveals His vibhuthi to Arjuna (Chapter 10 verses ). Lord Krishna says that he is the best amongst all(visit

if one gets the opportunity to get the divine darshan of lord VenkataKrishnan, the above vibhuthi description of Lord Krishna in Bhagavad Gita describes only a insignificant percentage of His mahima. Perhaps Lord krishna was very modest in narrating his Mahima in Gita.

Parthasarathi temple is so unique in that the temple hosts five moolavars namely Lord Rama, Lord Ranganatha, Lord Narasimha, Lord Varadaraja and Lord Venkatakrihnan.  In addition there is separate sannathi for Andal. I was able to visit all above sannathi.

26th being Ayppasi punarpusam, purappadu (Procession) of  Lord Rama Utsavar idol was going on. The famous Thiruvallikeni adhyapaka  goshti chanted 105 pasurams of kulasekhara azhwar. I was happy to see some very young boys chanting the pasurams. Pathigams(group of 10 pasurams) ஊனேறு செல்வத்து உடல் பிறவி யான் வேண்டேன்  and
மன்னு புகழ் கோசலைதன் மணிவயிறு வாய்த்தவனே are a great tribute to Lord Thiruvengadamudaiyan and Lord Rama from Kulasekara Azhwar.

Let me end the posting with a song on Lord Venkatakrishnan.

Pasurappadi Ramayanam

 Pasurappadi Ramayanam

If there is one Srivaishnava Acharya who had written

commentry for all 4000 pasurams of Divya Prabhandham

that credit goes to Sri. Periavachan pillai. He took up the

challenge of narrating the entire Ramayana Story

using lines only from  4000 pasurams without adding any

other line word of his own. This is titled Pasurapadi

Ramayanam. Here is a video Presentation of Pasurapadi

Ramayanam. Click on a Kandam to see the video
