Srinivasa Gadyam
Lord Srinivasa, the Lord of seven Hills is a Swayambhu and took the help of Sri Varaha to settle down in Thirumalai. It is a tradition to Visit Varaha Swami temple first before offering prayers to Lord Srinivasa. If there is any place on earth where the Lord had Nithya Kalyanam and Nithyothsavam, Masosthavam, Pakshosthavam, Brahmothsavam, Thepposthvam, Thiruppathi Thirumalai Stands out first.
It is said the Devas, Rishis offer their prayers to Lord Srinivasa in the early morning. Lord Srinivasa has Kalyan Utsavam Daily. Vedha Ghosham, Divya Prabhandaha Ghosham goes on every day. Nama Sankeerthanam, Sampradaya Bhajans and carnatic songs of Annamacharya goes on round the clock somewhere on the hills. One could hear the different Ragas, Thalas, vadhyams being used at different points in time. Flower decoration to the Lord , Thoranams in around the temple are given due care every day.
The important highlight of Srinivasa Gadyam is recognition of 72 Ragas which are assembled in in Thirumalai to be used by musicians and percussionists to use them to sing the glory of Lord Venkateswara.
All these are well brought out in Srinivasa Gadhyam composed by Srishaila Ranagachariar. I understand this is being sung at Thiruppati daily or on most impotaant occasions.
Here is presentation of Srinivasa Gadhyam.
