When any one wants to know about a guru, he needs to be introduced by someone who had greater understanding about his work, teachings, glory etc. This time we learn about hm through Arthi Prabandham composed by Manavala Mamaunigal.
Manavala Mamunigal had the distinction of being blessed with "Sri Sailesa Dayapaartram" thanian by none other than Lord Ranganatha. He had close proximity to Lord Ranganatha. He strongly believed that that Bhagavath Ramanuja who was conferred the power to grant Moksha is the only dependable source to recommend him a moksham. Such was his guru bakthi. He decides to plead with Yathiraja.
Arthi Prabhandham was the very last composition of Manavala Mamunigal reflecting on the the glory and compassion of Bhagavath Ramanuja. Mamunigal appeals to Yathiraja to help him to shed his mortal coil and bless him with a darshan of Sriman Narayana on the wings of Peraia thiruvadi
