The pasuram presented below is by Nammazhwar.

Nammazhwar was known by the name of Maran from childhood. He was different from other children and pretty abnormal in day-to-day activities and his parents gave him the name Maran, indicating that he was unique and different from the children of his age.  Nammazhwar's parents tried everything under their control to get the child back to normal and ultimately surrendered to Athinatha perumal in Thirukurugoor and left the child under his care. The child moved on its own from Athinathar sannathi into a Tamarind tree in the temple complex and stayed there for 16 long years almost immobile. There was big transformation in Maran at the age of 16.

Nammazhwar composed and sang four prabhandhams namely Thiru Viruththam, Thiruvasiriyam, Peria Thiruvandhadhi and Thiruvaaimozhi reflecting Rig, Yajur, Atharvana and Sama veda. These Divya Prabhandhams got the name Dravida Veda Sagaram because they were in Tamil and essence of corresponding Sanskrit Veda

In this Thiruvaaimozhi pasuram "
ஆரா அமுதே! அடியேன் உடலம் நின்பால் அன்பாயே  ", Nammazhwar performs Mangalasasanam to the Lord of Thirukkudanthai. Nammazhwar says " My Dear Lord!! My Insatiable sweet Nectar (ஆரா அமுதே) or even better ambrosia!.   When I think of you, my body assumes the form of deep rooted love for you and melts to liquid stage and gets tossed up and down. Oh Sarveshwara! I am indeed fortunate to have a darshan of your reclining pose on the hooded serpent, in Thirukkudanthai, where whisks of fertile and golden paddy fields seem to be offering fanning services to you. “  This pasuram, on the Lord of Thirukudanthai, turned out to be the catalyst for Sri Nathamunigal to pray to Nammazhwar to get back the lost treasure of Divya Prabhandham by reciting Kanninunsiruthambu 12000 times.

In this pasuram, Thirumangai Azhwar regrets the countless days he had wasted in enjoying the company of young women describing the external beauty and spending time thinking about them. He wonders how he managed to live thee life like a sinner for so long. Thirumangai Azhwar is happy now as he learnt the Ashtakshari manthram from the Lord himself  and is able to chant and that he is fortunate to have the darshan of Lord of Thirukkudanthai Divya Desam which is surrounded by Kaveri water and farming land where pair of swans enjoy nestling together.

The pasuram presented below is by Thirumazhsai Azhwar. Thirumazhisai Azhwar is an amasam  of Sudharsan, the discus that Lord Sriman Narayana wields.  Thiumazhisai Azhwar had the grace of Lord Sriman Narayana and he was rescued twice. He was born to Bhargava maharishi and his wife Kanakangi and was a lifeless lump of flesh with no arms and legs. Lord Sriman Narayana came with his consort and gave him a beautiful body and was blessed with an eye on right leg.

Later in his life Thirumazhisai Azhwar studied Buddhism, Jainism and other literature and started following Saivism. Lord Sriman Narayana used Peyazhwar to get Thirumazhisai Azhwar initiated into Vaishnavism . Thirumazhisai Azhwar then focused on Anthayyamithawam form Lord Sriman Narayana. He had composed two Prabhandhams namely Thiruchandaviruththam and Nanmugan Thiruvandhadhi.

In this Thiruchandaviruththam pasuram
"நடந்தகால்கள் நொந்தவோ நடுங்குஞால மேனமாய்", Thirumazhisai Azhwar performs Mangalasasanam
to the Lord of Thirukkudanthai. Thirumazhisai Azhwar enjoys
the Kaveri river crossing all obstacles such as mountains,
causeways, barren lands and flowing through Thirukkudanthai
Divya Desam. The lord of Thirukkudanthai is happily sleeping
on the banks of river Kaveri without out even noticing him and
talking to him.  Is it because The Lords feet are sore after
measuring the upper and lower worlds? Is it because his body
was put to stress when as Varaha Moorthy he tried to recover
the earth from Hiranyaksha, who rolled earth like a mat and
took it away? Thirumazhisai Azhwars prays to Lord of
Thirukkudanthai to get up and speak.
