Ghatikachala Nrisimha Pancharatnam
Of all the Avatars that Sriman Narayana took, Narasimha Avatar was intended to confirm that God is omnipresent (தூணிலும் இருப்பார், துரும்பிலும் இருப்பார், எங்கும் எல்லாவிடத்திலும் நீக்கமற நிறைந்து இருப்பார்) and rushes to the rescue of Baktha who has immense faith and surrenders unconditionally. Just to respond to the faith of Prahalada, Sriman Narayana came out of the pillar in Narasimha (Half man and Half lion) form. He was full of anger that his Baktha was tortured and after killing the demon, Lord Narasimha had to be pacified. The Devas and Prahalad did offer prayers to Lord Narasimha. Lord Narasimha is not only powerful but also a Karunya Moorthi.
Every trip to India, I make it to Sholingur in Tamilnadu 60 KM from Chennai. Here Lord Narasimha offers Darshan as Yoga Narasimhar. This kshetram is also known as Ghatikachalam. It is said that if one spends one Ghatikai namely one Nazhigai (24 min) in the company of Lord Narasimha, lot of benefits accrue.
