         Purva and Uthra Dhinacharyai
             Erumbiappa's recollection of Varavaramunigal's
Beauty and His daily Chores at Srirangam

Erumbiappa is one of the eight primary disciples of Manavala Mamunigal. He accepted Mnavala Manunigal as his Guru as hsi aradhana Vigraham, Lord Rama appeared in his dream and instructed him him to do so. He stayed with Manavala Mamunigal and learnt Rahasya granthams ald also also listened to Thiruvoimozhi Vyakyanams of Vara Vara Munigal in the divine presence of Namperumal. Later when returned to his native place, he was always thinking of his guru Manavala Mamunigal and composed Purva and Uthra Dincharya detailing the beauty (Soundaryam) of Manavala Mamuigal Thirumeni and his daily activities. Erumbiappa also contributed the last pasuram of Upadesa Rathnamalai to make it 74 synchronizing with concept of Bhagavath Ramanuja  setting up 74 Simhasanapathis to spread srivaishanvism.
