Kaisika Ekadasi in Srirangam - Pasurangal

Kaisika Ekadasi in Srirangam - Pasurangal

On Kaisika Ekadasi day Namperumal comes to Arjuna Mandapam. Here he is adorned with 365  Pachai (Green) silk robes to get rid of any inadequacies that might have crept in during the entire year. Then the Araiyars would present Thirumangai Azhwar's ten pasurams ( 9.6) and Nammazhwar's 11 Pasurams ( 5.5) with abhinayam and supported by instruments.

Then Archakar/Bhattar would read the Kaisika Mahatmiyam from Varahapuranam in the same style as Parasara Bhattar did long back. Then Namperumal goes to Chandana Mandapam where devotees offer so far unsused flowers, camphor etc.. This event is known as Karpoorapadi Sevai.

Here is presentation of pasurams by Nammazhwar and Thirumangai Azhwar.
