Thiruvengadam ennum Verpu(Hill)
கண்ணனடி இணை எமக்குக் காட்டும் வெற்பு

The residents of Gokulam were offering prayers to  Govardhana Hills  and Indra every year. One year on the advice of Lord Krishna who wanted to enact a leela, they gave up that ritual. This angered Indra and he ordered Varuna Bhagawan to to show no mercy on Gokulam residents. It rained cats and dogs and Gokula was flooded. The residents and Cattle had no place to escape the predicament. Lord Krishna came to the rescue of Gokula Residents. Lord Krishna lifted Govardhana Hills and held it as an umbrella with his little finger and protected the Gokulam residents for seven days.

It is belief that Govardhan Hills wanted to pay its debt to Lord Krishna and in Kaliyuga when he took Archavatar as Lord Srinivasa, Govardhana Hills became his bed and resting with a span of seven Hills (Seshadri, Neeladri, Garudadri, Anjanadri, Vrushabhadri, Narayanadri and Venkatadri). Lord Srinivasa's temple is located on top of Venkatadri Hill.

Sri Vedantha desikan has a pasuram dedicated to Lord Krishna and the Verpu (Hill)

Here is a video presentation of the Pasuram.
