Divya Desam 77 Thiruvithhvakodu

Divya Desam 77 Thiruvithhvakodu
---------------------------------------------

Uyyavantha Perumal is the main deity in this temple facing south and he gave darshan to his devotee King Ambareesha and also protected him from the anger of Durvasa Rishi and helped him to fulfill Ekadasi Vratam. Uyyavantha Perumal also fulfilled the Wishes of King Amabreesha by giving darshan from all four directions from different santums built by Pancha Pandavas.

It is understood that this Sthala moorthi was kept in Agraharam in Vithuvakode and later moved to this  location

Kulasekara Azhwar has performed Managalasasanam to
Uyyavantha Perumal and in his pasuram he addresses this lord as "Vithuvakodu Amman". Kulasekara Azhwar has composed 10 pasurams on this Divya desam and he has outlined nine type of relationship

Here is a video presentation of Perumal Thirumozhi (688-697), a Mangalasasanam to Uyyavantha perumal of Thiriththvakode also called Thirumittacode in Shoranur District, Kerala.

Here Kulasekara Azhwar announces his steadfastness and undivided attention to Perumal, come What may and even if it turns out that the Lord's grace does not fall on him. He alludes to the nine types of relationships.
