When any one wants to know about a guru, he needs to be introduced by someone who had greater understanding about his work, teachings, glory etc. This time we learn about Divya Desams, Keshetrams Bhagavatha Ramanuja paid visits to perform kainkaryam and mangalasasanam from Parasara Bhattar.

Parasara Bhattar was the son of Koorththazhwar, who impersonated Ramanuja to save him from the wrath of Chola King and lost his eyes. Parasara Bhattar succeeded Bhagavat Ramanuja to lead the Srivaishnavites after his time, Parasaar Bhattar has composed Sri Ranganatha Stothram and 8th stanza spells out the temples, Kshetrams that Bhagavat Ramanuja visited.

1000 years back, if Ramanuja had the resources of Thrirumangai Azhwar Adalma The horse, time and had no other commitments except Mangalasasanam , Bhagavat Ramanuja also wou;d have visited all 106 Divya Desams, Purana Kshetrams etc.  As Bhagavat Ramanuja had several responsibilities such as streamlining the temple administration, grooming sishya, spreading Visishtaadwaitham, Streamlining the Naithayaanushtanam at different temples, spending time with devotees, creating Nine gems of vedic literature including Sribashyam, he had limited time at his disposal and yet he had covered 16 Kshtrams spread far and wide across the breadth and length of India.

Attached above video is a preseentation of the temples visited by Bhagavat Ramanuja. Thirunarayanpuram( Melukote) is not
covered in PParasarar's stothram. Bhagavath Ramanuja spent 12 years in Melukote oversinng the construction, installation and running of the temple. He also visited Delhi to recover the idol "Selva Pillai" from Mogul King and installed it in Melukote.
