நெஞ்சே தினம் நினைப்போம்  

இராமானுசன் நாமங்களே

रामानुजस्य चरणौ शरणं प्रपद्ये 

(435 days to celebrate 1000th year of Bhagavat Ramanuja)

Let us begin our journey towards 1st May 2017, by recalling his life events, teachings, achievements, glory and hsi contribution to Srivaishavam and Visishtadwaitham

When any one wants to know about a guru, he needs to be introduced by someone who had greater understanding abou his work, teachings, glory etc. This time we learn about the guru through Dhati Panchakam.

Embar says "முப்புரிநூலொடு முன்கையிலேந்திய

முக்கோல் தன்னழகும்"when he described the physical 

beauty of Bhagavath Ramanuja. Here he is referring to 

Poonool( Yagnopavith) and thridhaNdam. This stothram 

dwells on the role of thridhaNdam 

Dhati means attack with a view to gain victory. Bhagavat Ramanuja led attacks( debates) on many  Philosopies and established the supremacy of Visishtaadwaitham. This Stothram also emphasizes the role of Trithandam  and  the Sacred thread ( Yagnopaveetham in His Thirumeni) carried by             Bhagavat Ramanuja.
