Let us dwell on the Eighty-eighth Pasuram of Ramanuja

In this pasuram, Amudhanar says that Thirumangai Azhwar took avatar in Thirukuraiyur, which is surrounded by rich paddy fields. Thirumangai Azhwar composed six musical angas to Tamil Veda( Peria Thirumozhi, Thiru Nedunthandagam, Thiru Kurunthandagam, Peria Thirumadal, Siriya Thirumadal and Tiruvelukkutirukkai). Amudhanar says Bhagavath Ramanuja  always kept and enjoyed Thirumanagai Azhwar's Prabhandhams in his heart and became lion hearted and vanquished those roaming tigers that propagated wrong vedic arguments. Amudhanar  says that he is obliged to pay tributes to Bhagavath Ramanuja.
