Let us dwell on the Sixty-nine Pasuram of Ramanuja 

In this pasuram Amudhanar says "During the Pralaya time, the mind and indriyas of all souls including mine were mutilated and destroyed and were dormant along with other achit objects. Later out of compassion, Lord Ranganatha made the mind and indriyas functional with his abayahastha but never educated me to suurender to His Lotus feet. It was left to Bhagavath Ramanuaja, my father like figure who, came to me on his own and offered his lotus feet as a refuge for myself".
