I would like to thank, a close friend who is based in Chicago and hails from Trivandrum, for arranging an elaborate tour and darshan of Sri Ananda Padamanabha Swamy temple.
Lord Sriman Narayana known as Sri Anantha Padmanabha Swamy is in Sayana(Sleeping over snake bed or Bhujanga) Pose on Athiseshan(Snake bed). The Lord being 18' tall gives Darshan through three separate doors. One gets the darshan of Thirumugam (Face) of Lord Padmanabha through the First Entrance (Vasal). Darshan of the Thiru Unndhi (Naval) can be had through the second entrancce (Vasal) and Darshan of Thiruvadi(Lotus feet is through the third entrance (Vasal). Lord Padmanabha Known as Thamarai Manalan, can be seen blessing Indran, Chandran,Varuna and Rudran and relieving them from their respective curses. Lord Padmabha protects all creations with his lotus eyes from the first entrance, Manages the creations through Lord Brahma raising from his naval as seen from second entrance and he is directing devotees to seek this lotus feet for liberation through the third entrance.
